During my six years at Oakley as Manager of Digital Creative Services I had the pleasure of working with Tyler Hittle. Oakley is a globally respected brand for marketing visuals and innovation. Multiple members of the CGI/3D visuals team have advanced from their beginnings at Oakley to lead 3D visual efforts at companies like Apple.
Tyler was hired to manage Oakley’s 3D Marketing Asset Team for static and animation projects. To exceed at this role, it takes an individual that can push the envelope of Oakley’s high design standards, communicate with top level executives and direct team members to produce visuals that raise the bar with each new project and Tyler consistently delivered beyond expectation. It’s rare to find a resource equally gifted with both creative and technical talents, Tyler is a perfect mesh of these two skillsets. Separate from Tyler’s direction of the 3D marketing asset efforts, he was quick to step in and help the 3D Product Catalog Asset Team when they fell behind schedule or required his expert opinion on pipeline strategy and team management.
I have full confidence in Tyler and strongly recommend him for a role that puts him in a position to lead a top tier brand’s CGI/3D visualization and would be proud to work with him again.

Since my start in 2011 to 2013, the company had grown exponentially faster than any other sports nutrition company in the market at that time. My biggest accomplishment while there was that I designed the original Quest Bar wrapper and box packaging designs, which are currently on the market.
I was focused on multi platform product advertising from product packaging & print design, QuestNutrition.com web design, apparel art, to 3D product renders and animations. These themes can range from AAA games like "God of War III" and "Little Big Planet 2" to more marketing and advertising style themes like a "Burning Fireplace" animated theme. My partner and I developed and submitted these themes successfully to sale on the playstation network online store where they have since profited over one million dollars and growing.

I would like to enthusiastically recommend Tyler Hittle for any 3D Tech Artist/Director position for which you might be considering him.
I had the pleasure to supervise and work along side Tyler at Sony PlayStation. Together we build a small team (within a creative services group) dedicated to the production of PlayStation Dynamic Themes. That team is still in place! If you are not familiar with dynamic themes, they are a skin for the main PlayStation user interface. The background is a system game engine driven 3D scene with custom icons, navigational sound effects, and background music. The 3D scene is an exercise in efficiency. On PlayStation4, the entire scene is 16mb or less! As you can imagine, it is quite a puzzle. I often describe the process as a miniaturized version of everything that that goes into game development; from asset creation and previz to asset optimization and packaging/submission.
Tyler brought a refreshing attitude of curiosity, wonder, and perseverance. As an example, when confronted with a theme that needed a realistic fire element, Tyler created a 3D flip book in maya that simulated a video placer by having numerous cards move through the scene at a very high rate.
I would be happy to discuss Tyler and his work experience here at Sony with you further if you so desire. Our group does a lot more than just themes. J I would be happy to hire him back if I could talk him into it.
Sincerely,
